Coaching Policy

Each season, all coaches, managers, and volunteers in the Conception Bay South Kiwanis Minor Baseball Association (CBSKMBA) will be required to submit a Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Criminal Record Screening Certificate and Vulnerable Sector Check. As a volunteer, these documents can be obtained free of charge by including this letter with your application.

Coaches at the all-star level will be required to meet the guidelines set out by Baseball NL. This will apply to any coach who will be a part of a coaching staff for a Baseball NL provincial championship.

Any coach at the house league / grassroots level (e.g., any coach not coaching at a Baseball NL provincial championship) will be asked to complete the following:

• Coach Initiation in Baseball - Online - Free
• Initiation Clinic - In class - $50
• Safe Sport Training - Online - Free

Any designated team manager in the CBSKMBA will also be required to complete the Safe Sport Training.

The CBSKMBA will cover registration costs for named coaches for courses listed above and/or in the Baseball NL Coach Requirements.
