Baseball For All - No Exceptions

We believe every child should have the chance to experience the joy of playing baseball, regardless of financial circumstances. Cost should never be a barrier to being part of a team.

Here at CBS Kiwanis Minor Baseball, any child who wants to learn, grow, and have fun playing baseball is welcome. The below organizations help remove barriers and promote diversity in our program. Thanks to them, baseball truly is for all!

Sammy's Climb Higher Foundation

Sammy's Climb Higher Foundation offers financial assistance to families in need. Their mission is to make sure any child can play sports - all they need is the desire to play.

From their website:

"...we are committed to ensuring that all children have an opportunity to participate in sports and recreational/arts programs, regardless of financial situations."

"...we will work to provide funding to families who struggle to enroll children in sports/recreation/arts organizations and to community groups that require recreational equipment upgrades."

Since being founded in 2022, they have helped countless kids across the province join sports leagues by discreetly easing the financial burden. Their generosity has allowed kids who otherwise may never have stepped onto a baseball diamond to thrive on the field.

KidSport

The KidSport Program is administered by Sport Newfoundland & Labrador. This program provides sport grants to financially disadvantaged youth in CBS to cover registration/participant fees and personal sport equipment.

Sport Newfoundland and Labrador represents 43 provincial sport organizations in Newfoundland and Labrador. Through its mandate, Sport Newfoundland and Labrador provides programs, such as KidSport, that increase sport participation across the province.

Canadian Tire Jumpstart

Canadian Tire Jumpstart provides financial assistance to help kids participate in organized sport and recreation such as baseball, hockey, dance, soccer, swimming, etc. National in scope, but local in focus, Canadian Tire Jumpstart works through a network of community partners committed to helping kids get active.

Our Association is proud to be a community partner with Canadian Tire Jumpstart, increasing opportunities for kids from the communities we serve to participate in sport and recreation, and get active and healthy.
