Field Dimensions
- Base Distance: 60 feet
- Pitching Distance: 44 feet from home plate to the pitching rubber
Rules of Play
- Follow Official Baseball Rules by Baseball Canada, with modifications in this document.
- Game Start: Minimum of 8 players required. If not met, default is declared.
Duration of Game
- Fields without Lights: 6 innings or 2.5 hours, whichever comes first.
- Fields with Lights: 6 innings or 2 hours 30 minutes, with no new inning starting after 1 hour 45 minutes.
- Games in Paradise: 2-hour slots; games called at the 2-hour mark, open inning at 1.5 hours.
- CBS Games: Generally called at 2-hour mark, except 8:30 start times.
Game Rules
- Home Team: Determined by the schedule.
- 10-Run Rule: Game awarded if one team leads by 10 runs after the fifth inning (or 4.5 if home team leads).
- Scorekeeping: Coaches keep score, confirmed with the home plate umpire.
Batting
- All players bat in the lineup.
- Players can rotate defensively.
- Minimum of 2 defensive innings per player.
- Max of 3 runs per inning, except for the last inning which is open.
Base Stealing
- Allowed once the ball crosses the plate.
- Runners may tag and advance on caught fly balls at their own risk.
Pitching
- Max of 2 innings per pitcher.
- A player can catch and then pitch, but not vice versa.
Defense
- Players must run on and off the field.
- Maintain normal baseball positions; shifts are allowed.
